Types of Gifts

The Hartington Community Foundation solicits your gifts, large or small, for the benefit of the community. Gifts and memorials can be made as follows:

CASH GIFTS: made in any amount at any time.

MEMORIAL GIFTS: made in cash in any amount as a memorial to deceased persons.

TESTAMENTARY GIFTS: received from supporters of the Foundation for distribution of the gift according to the wishes of the donor and in accordance with the by-laws of the organization.

GIFTS OF REAL ESTATE: made either outright or conditionally, afford many opportunities for tax planning.

   

 


GIFTS IN KIND: in the nature of personal property of value such as crops, works of art, and other acceptable assets.

GIFTS OF SECURITIES: to be gifted to and subseqently sold by the Foundation for the appreciated value of the shares in order to give the maximum tax benefit available to the donor.

GIFTS OF LIFE INSURANCE: these are tax free gifts given back to the community through life insurance proceeds.

TRUSTS AS GIFTS: provide many attractive arrangements to benefit the intentions of the donor for the ultimate benefit of the community. Gifts received by the Foundation are tax deductible.

   
The Hartington Community Foundation is a 501c 3 tax-exempt organization soliciting tax-deductible private contributions for the benefit of the community of Hartington, Nebraska. The Hartington Community Foundation Board of Directors has designated the Foundation as the primary fundraiser and manager of private gifts to the community of Hartington.
